Growing Together Again begins in Berlin - a city once torn between the East and West on the frontline of  the Cold War - and describes the challenges of unifying the two sides of the city.  The film summarizes the  historic unification of institutions in Germany and throughout Europe while explaining the background of  opposition toward further European unity.    Growing Together Again compares the opening of the Berlin Wall to the construction of new steel fences  on the Austrian border to Slovenia in an effort to guage the willingness of Europeans at the grassroots  level in working toward a common destiny.
